As the Country Head for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Nepal of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC), Kuala Lumpur, she conceptualizes robust plans for market development in different segments of the oil industry.
She initiates innovation and works towards scaling-up the value chain creating better opportunities and business streams for multiple business verticals. Based at the MPOC office in Mumbai, India, she has been instrumental in making the palm oil, the single largest vegetable oil consumed in the region.

Bhavna Shah devotes time towards developing, promoting, and supporting micro, small, and medium businesses on various B2B and B2C platforms as the President of the Maharashtra State Chapter of the MSME and Startups Forum, Bharat.
She enables facilitation and advisory services for the members and the potential buyers/investors through webinars, trade shows, seminars, and one-to-one meetings. She encourages the youth of our country to choose a path of entrepreneurship and advocates opening the global market. She plays an active role in enabling environment to boost investments in the MSMEs & Startups sector.

As the President of India, Malaysia Business Council of Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI), Bhavna Shah’s focus is to empower and create a global impact for women professionals and entrepreneurs from various sectors through changes in governmental laws, policies, and commercial ecosystems. With WICCI, she is passionately spreading awareness on various issues concerning women in the workplace.

Bhavna Shah is the ex-independent director for Ruchi Soya Industries Limited (Ruchi Soya) and had contributed to its growth in the edible oil business with her expertise and experience.
As a decisive leader, she handled diverse market dynamics and technologies to accelerate the company’s business in the market for the healthy range of edible oils. She worked towards better market penetration and directed cross-functional teams to provide strategies and solutions in different areas.

Bhavna is a regular writer featured on many international platforms for palm oil, trade, marketing and women empowerment. She has also co-authored a book titled, ‘UNDEFEATED’ Moving from Ordinary to Extra-ordinary.
The book has beautiful short stories that are impactful and inspiring. The book reinforces that, there are only challenges but never any problems. As long as these challenges bring out the best in us and help us achieve milestones that we otherwise think are unachievable, challenges are for the greater good.
